We offer a diverse variety of sports here at Gold Country Working Dog Club. Our roots started as a USCA club working in the sport of Schutzhund/IPO/IGP.  However, we all tended to do other sports as well, and we decided we wanted to open up the club to all the other sports. So, now club members can have access to Barnhunt, Scentworks, Rally or focus on CGC series and trick dog titles. There is not formal instruction during club times, but rather it is a place to help each other out.

There is a $10 Field Fee (payable to GCK9) for each dog you bring to club day, but it is only $10 to do any or all of the sports in a day with the same dog. If you are not sure what to do, you may benefit from taking some formal structured classes, either from our Hosts (Gold Country K9) or any other trainer that you desire.  Many people need a place to practice and not formal instruction, and many others are excellent at learning by watching others or just experimenting.  We know Barnhunt in particular is difficult to practice without the actual ring.  We also will have (limited) nosework supplies available to work on hides in various parts of the facility, including vehicle searches, indoor and outdoor scenarios.  While you may take classes anywhere, you are not required to, but each person is responsible for their own training journey

Guests: We allow people to come one time at a field fee of $25 for the day to come play with us and see if we are a good fit. We do not offer options for non club members to regularly participate in our training times. You must be a part of the club.
